  • Please can someone help me with anemone bulbs

Do I have to soak these in water before I plant them in containers. They look like small clumps of dirt. If I plant them now will they flower this year? I would appreciate any advice that I can get. I also have lily bulbs that I would like to put in containers. Thanks in advance

the anemone bulbs i have planted them just in beds and are fine or you can soak them over night and then plant them.. they will bloom either way this year.. the lillium bulbs.. what variety are they and how tall etc all come into play if they aren't dwarf varities they should be planted in the ground or a deep pot else wise they will topple and break

Yes, you will need to soak the anemone corms in water (in a shady spot). I soaked mine for about 24 hours, them plant them on their sides. I just received an order from Veseys and those were the given instructions. Depending on what Zone you live in, you will need to dig up the corms for the winter. I hope this helps! This is my first year planting anemone bulbs too! I am crossing my fingers!

I live near Thunder Bay, ON. Do I still have time to plant anenome bulbs this year? Will they have to be brought indoors in the winter? Thanks
