Posted by Joanna T on Thursday, June 21, 2007 11:40 pm ADTLinda the very best time to water is in the early morning or in the evening,if you water them the the heat of the day the water evaporates and you will have to water them again in the evening anyway. And the best fertilizer I find for baskets is Miracle Grow just follow the directions on the box...... Happy watering!!

Posted by Debra on Friday, June 22, 2007 3:24 am ADTWatering in the morning is preferable as there is less chance of mildew then if you water at night. Personally I water whenever I get the opportunity, which is usually in the evening and I have never had a problem. On very hot days sometimes they need two waterings. I fertilize once a week with a mild dilution of fish fertalizer and once a month with an organic fertilizer formulated for strong bloom. Hope that helps.

Posted by peihobby on Friday, June 22, 2007 10:22 pm ADTBest time to water a hanging basket is early morning before the sun gets to it or in the evening after the sun has left it. Best to use an all purpose fertilizer, half strength. Follow the directions on the fertilizer package for how often to fed.
