I have just discovered that my columbine has leaf miners. How can I get rid of them without throwing out my plants. Will they spread to my other plants?

No, you not throw your plants away, pick the infected leaves off and either bury them or throw the leaves into the compost bin. Work the ground around the infected plants and remove anything that isnt suppose to be there. Your other plants will probably be ok but keep on eye on them for mines and remove any leave that has a mine and get rid of leave. Leaf miners life cycle may give up to three generations per year( in favorable weather), some insectides will kill the miners but mines apparently become tolerent to many so read the label before you buy or use it. Hope this helps. Best of luck, thankly my columbine doesnt have any so far.
