  • Wild Rose Problem...

Posted by Karla on Friday, June 29, 2007 8:21 pm ADT

I have a typical NS/NFLD wild rose bush (inherited from previous owners) and although it came up healthy looking and is blooming beautifully, the inner leaves of the plant have turned yellow. As per descriptions and pictures of rose blights, it doesn't seem to be black spot or any type of mildew. The leaves look normal save for their colour. Any suggestions? Thanks!

hmm, might just be a simple peoblem such as lack of nitrogen. Give the bush a feeding of a high nitrogen fertilizer or buy a fertilizer sepecially made for roses.

The rose is taking over my lawn and I would like to lnow if there is any way that I can get rid of some of the growth? I would like to be able to keep what is growing on the outside area of our property and get rid of what is taking over the lawn! Thanks so much for any help you can give me! Sheila
