I am wanting to plant peanuts. Has anyone any experience doing this. I know that I live in a zone5 so I will grow in the Greenhouse, because of their needed growing season. Any helpful hints would be great. Thanks in Advance Jen Barton

I grew peanuts one year. We are in zone 5 as well. I grew them in very sandy soil in a raised bed outside not in the green house. They were planted in May and we harvested in Sept. with surprising abundance. Good luck.

I have tried to grow peanuts from time to time. I start them early in peat pots, plant them out after last frost date under a small hoop and plastic arangement. I remove the bottom of the peat pots when they go out, completely bury the pots and place an inch of sand around the plants for 8 - 10 inches. I always get a few to keep me trying but that is all. The fall frosts are the ender for getting any good results for me. But I am having fun. Good luck to you.
