I am to make a presentation to our lake association on how to practice organic gardening, taking as litle water from the lake as possible. Any suggestions for flowers, shrubs, lawns and/or resources? And, how do we avoid buying commercial plants with all those fertilizer pellets in them? Is this a concern? Is mushroom compost OK, or not? I make my own compost but not everyone can. Any tips / suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you. Carol Ann
