Recently I saw an article through the weather channel regarding willow whips being used to create "living walls" along major highways to replace concrete walls for sound barriers and privacy. I have been trying to locate information on companies that may supply the willow whips or information on planting and maintaining the walls.

Hi, I don't know what part of the country you are in but here on the prairies you can get willow whips from your provincial agriculture shelter belt program. Depending on how much land you own they can be free, if you don't have land then you can purchase them for a small amount plus shipping. Alberta has a website but you should just be able to contact your local provincial agriculture department and they can lead you in the right direction.
