I've planted my bulb clusters of dahlias as I do every year. They are extremely wonderful and they are like bushes(3 ft). Now that they have begun to bloom the entire stalks have bent right over almost from the ground causing the stems to snap. I am stumped as this has never happened before...my guess is because we live just northeast of Toronto and have received record amounts of rains and also wind this is the cause of their demise! Please help me with this if you have other information as I truly LOVE these plants and I am quite sadened over this.

I am in Mississauga and quite a few of my plants are flopping over. I am sticking some bamboo poles 3 - 4 ft. here and there for support. The rain caused it.
