Looking for a ground cover which will grow on a forest floor. The plot is only 15 feet wide therefore receives sun. The organic matter is very high however difficult to dig into the soil to plant. Need a ground cover which will grow in a shallow soil. The plot is about 600 square feet, there something not too expensive is needed.

Try sweet woodruff. It is very easy to grow and speads easily. You can lay it on top of ground and sprinkle with soil and keep watered until established.
