Posted by Tracey on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 4:26 pm ADTI planted some carrots this year (as I do every year), but some of them -- now seemingly mature -- are white. Does anyone have an idea as to why?

Posted by Larry Archibald on Saturday, September 9, 2006 4:44 pm ADTI also found one white carrot among my carrots this year. It is a carrot with a carrot top not a parsnip top. Never seen one in the last 30 years.

Posted by Bruno on Monday, October 26, 2009 1:48 pm ADTFor the last couple of years, I have an increased abundance of carrots that are white amongst the traditional orange ones even though they are all plantedout of the same pack of seeds. I thought it may be an abnormality at first, but now I think it is a problem with quality control in the seed distributors.
