Gardeners’ Forum: “perennial phlox”
Back to Gardeners’ Forumperennial phlox
Posted by jim on Monday, March 4, 2002 11:15 PM ASTI'm planning to sow phlox seed. The directions on packet say to freeze for two weeks and then leave in warm water for a week. This appears a complicated process, especially the warm water bit. Has anyone successfully started phlox indoors.? If so, what did you do? Thanks.

I've never had any success doing anything different than instructed, particularly if the plant is a new variety, which I suspect yours may be. I've always pruchased a plant, rather than seeds, primarily for this reason but also due to only wanting a few plants due to space limitations.
