Hardy in Zone 5 and up.

Plant in part to full shade with top of root just below surface in rich woodland soil that remains evenly moist. Space 6 to 12" apart. Mulch around but not on top of the plants with organic compost or leaf mould. Water well until soil is completely moist. Apply a light application of organic fertilizer to the top of the soil in early spring. Corydalis prefers slightly acidic soil but will tolerate poor soil and has a tendency to go dormant in mid-summer in hot areas and drought. Care is easy and this plant can survive serious neglect once established. This plant grows in a mound 8-14" h x 12-16" wide.
