A very large specimen plant that is great for moist to wet locations especially water features. Allow at least 4-6’ of open space for this plant to grow. Plant in a moist soil in full sun to part shade. Entire root system should be planted in a humusy soil about 1" below the soil line. Do not let the soil dry out. Plant needs some winter protection in zone 6 or colder by applying a layer (approximately 6") of straw or leaves. Blooms mid-late summer. Grows 6-10' tall.
