Cereus floridanus 'Fairy Castle'
General Description:
Cylindrical, branching, with 4-8 ribs. Slender blue-green stems and needle shaped radial spines.
Cultivation:
Pot up in standard cactus potting mix. Place in full sun to part shade. Water moderately and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer during the summer months (June, July, and August). Water sparingly in winter.
Propagation:
From woody stem cuttings, allow cut surface to callous over before planting. Flowers are generally sterile, or will not grow true-to-seed.
Pests & Disease:
Aphids, mealy bugs, powdery mildew, fungal leaf spot, stem and root rot if over watered.
