May be started inside 6-8 weeks before transplanting in peat pots, but direct sowing in early spring or late autumn is preferable. Does not transplant well. Cover seed lightly and keep dark and cool; 13-16°C (55-60°F). Space 10-12" apart in a full sun location. May need to be staked.
