Start inside 6-8 weeks before planting out. Cover seed lighlty but provide total darkness and a relative cool soil temperature of 16-18° (60-65°F). May also be direct seeded 2 weeks before last frost. Transplant around the last frost date 6 inches apart. Grows well in full sun or light shade. Pinch back young plants to encourage bushiness. Do not allow to dry out and deadhead regularly.
