Also called Rock Campion. Start seed 8-12 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds on surface of well-drained growing medium and lightly cover with vermiculite. Cover seed tray with a clear plastic dome to retain heat until germination occurs, usually in 2-3 weeks. Ideal for rock gardens and is drought tolerant when established. Can be direct seeded in the fall where you would like them to grow. Prefers well-drained soil in a full sun location. Blooms first year. Grows 6-8" high an d10-12" wide. Zones 4-7.
