Warm season, clump forming grass. Prefers full sun and any well-drained soil. Drought tolerant but grows best with even moisture. Grows 4’ - 5’ high and 2’ - 3’ wide. ‘Heavy Metal’ is hardy to zone 5. ‘Prairie Fire’ is hardy to zone 4.
