Planting:

Sow in early spring as you would spinach. Germination is slow and requires a soil temperature of 10-21°C (50-70°F). Plant ¼" deep, 2" apart in rows 12-18". Thin to 2" apart. Reseed every 10-14 days for long season harvest.

Growing:

Use an area with full sun to partial shade and a pH of 6.0-7.0. Will grow well in any rich garden soil.

Harvest:

Cut or pick rosettes at 21'2" high.

Pests & Diseases:

Rarely troubled by insects or diseases. Use row covers to prevent flea beetle damage.

Companions:

Other salad greens, lettuce, chard, beets.
