Cabbage
Tips: High organic content and pH of 6.0-6.5 is preferred. Heavy feeders. Cabbage matures faster and tastes better if grown in heavily fertilized soil. Sow thinly 1/4" deep. When plants are about 4" high, thin to 15-18" apart in rows at least 2' apart. Start indoors 4-5 weeks before last frost or direct seed outdoors from early May to June. Seedlings will tolerate mild frosts if hardened off before transplanting.
Seed Counts: Packages contain 100-150 seeds. You will need approsimately 40-50 seeds to sow a 50 foot row and approximately 10-12M plants per acre. 1M = 1000.
