Parsnip
Tips: Requires a rich, deeply cultivated soil with plenty of organic matter and a pH of 6.5. Light feeder. Will tolerate slight shading. Sow as early as ground can be worked. Adequate moisture is essential for good germination which may take up to 21 days. Parsnips are tender and flavourful in the fall and a few light frosts will improve the flavour. Approx. 300 seeds per gram.
