Temptation Strawberry
Strawberries from seed. Delicious ever-bearing alpine strawberries with deep red fruit in the first season. Vigorous, compact growth makes Temptation ideally suited for hanging baskets or patio containers. Well suited to short season climates. Maturity approx. 90 days. Approx. 50-100 seeds/pkg.

- Germination is the trickiest aspect to growing strawberries. Be patient, and try the tricks below. Tuck your strawberry seed packet inside a sealed plastic bag and place in your freezer for 3-4 weeks. When you remove the bag or container, do not break the seal until it have reached room temperature. This may take several hours. Opening the package too quickly may result in water condensing on the cold seeds, and this will reduce your chances of success. Once the sealed package has “thawed” to room temperature, you’re ready to plant. Sow the seeds on the surface of moist soil in trays and cover with plastic to keep moisture and humidity within the soil. Keep soil temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F) and in the dark. Once germination has occured, place under bright lights and increase ventilation around your plants to prevent damping off.
