Flambo French Horticultural Bean
A versatile horticultural bean. Flamboyant, maroon and white multi-purpose beans. This bush-type variety is strikingly brilliant with maroon and white blossoms followed by plump, 7" slightly flattened maroon and white pods. This versatile bean can be used fresh, frozen or dried. Excellent flavour. Frequent picking will improve production. Matures in 80 days. Untreated seed only.
These bush varieties can be direct seeded after risk of frost has past and the soil has warmed to 18-24 C. Sow 1' deep and 2" apart in rows spaced 18" apart. Requires direct sun and a soil pH of 6.5 - 7.5.
Light feeders, compost or well rotted manure can be worked into the soil at planting.
When beans are smooth, firm and crisp. If you see beans forming in the pods they are over mature.
