Sedum. Some of the nicest ground covers we've seen! Low maintenence and drought tolerant, try planting in an upright container and watch it spill over the edge. Boogie Woogie is splendid even when not in bloom. Leaves are a muted, olive green with a bright, creamy margin. In early summer, glowing yellow flowers appear and add even more interest to the spreading, solid mat. Firecracker has incredible burgundy-red foliage that puts on a strong show of color all season long. Compact and upright habit and dazzling hot-pink flower panicles that last for weeks and weeks even in heat and drought. Height 6-8". No. 1 root.

Planting Perennial Roots: It is a good idea to soak any bare-root perennials in water for a few hours, but not more than a day, before planting. Add organic matter to the area and provide good drainage unless the plant variety enjoys wet roots. Unless otherwise specified, bare-root perennials are usually planted with the crown (where the shoots meet the roots) an inch below the soil surface. Firm soil gently to eliminate air pockets and water in well. Mark the area clearly since it may be awhile before the plant shows itself.
Planting Sedum: Space 18" apart, with the crown (the point where the roots meet the shoots) just under the soil surface. Grow in fast draining soil in full sun. Drought tolerant. May tolerate light shade. Water sparingly. Grows 6" tall.
