Summer Beauty Allium
Spring Planting: this product will be shipped late April through May according to your hardiness zone.
Allium senescens. We love all things Allium, but 'Summer Beauty' has really impressed us with its perfectly ball-shaped clusters of soft, lavender-pink flowers. Tall and stately strong stems easily hold the clusters perfectly erect. Irresistible to pollinators, easy to grow and long-lived! Height 18-24". No.1 root.

Growing Information
Upon Arrival:
It is very important to plant as soon as possible after you receive them. If it is absolutely necessary to store them for a short time before planting them, open the plastic bags. If the roots appear dry, soak them for a few hours in warm water. Store in slightly moist peat moss in a cold, but not freezing location until you can plant. They can also be placed in pots of soil if planting will be delayed for more than 2 weeks. Use any peat-based potting soil and pots with drainage holes.
Soak bare-root perennials in water for a few hours before planting.
Planting:
Very easy to grow in full sun to part shade. Will tolerate soil of any fertility and will grow in clay soil. Place crown just at or slightly below soil level.
Growing:
It may be propagated in fall by digging it up and dividing the rhizome with the bulblets attached. Allium is typically pest and disease free. Its aromatic foliage also makes it deer and rabbit resistant.
