Unlock the Stars Daylily
Spring Planting: we begin shipping in late April through May beginning with the warmest hardiness zones, so you receive your products at the proper time for planting.
Hemerocallis. This sweet selection has large, rounded petals in dusty, cherry pink with a primrose-yellow throat and matching ruffly edge. A reliable re-bloomer. Daylilies are phenomenal, easy grow perennials. They are very hardy, forming beautiful clumps of strappy green leaves. The flowers of most cultivars last for only one day, giving the plant its informal name. Don't worry though, there will be a brand new flower on each flower stalk the following morning! Plant along foundations or walkways, in mixed perennial borders and beds, or even well drained containers. Height 24-36". No. 1 root.

Growing Information
Planting Perennial Roots:
It is a good idea to soak any bare-root perennials in water for a few hours, but not more than a day, before planting. Add organic matter to the area and provide good drainage unless the plant variety enjoys wet roots. Unless otherwise specified, bare-root perennials are usually planted with the crown (where the shoots meet the roots) an inch below the soil surface. Firm soil gently to eliminate air pockets and water in well. Mark the area clearly since it may be awhile before the plant shows itself.
Planting:
Daylilies are wonderful in bloom and their fountains of leaves are handsome all season. Plant daylilies 18"-24" apart in any good garden soil with the crowns about 2" below the soil surface.
Growing:
They thrive in full sun or part shade. Most hybrids bloom best with 6-8 hours of sun each day. Daylilies tolerate poor soil and drought but bloom best if soil is kept moist. Deadhead regularly. Divide plants in fall or spring.
