Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii. A bold, dependable perennial with golden-yellow flowers often called Black-Eyed Susan. Blooms reliably from July-October on sturdy stems. Easy to grow and perfect for a long-lasting cut flower. Mass plant in borders with ornamental grasses and other late blooming perennials. Holds up well during heat, drought and even in poor soil locations. No need for extra care, as this plant looks after itself keeping its beauty throughout the whole summer. So easy to grow and looks fabulous planted in drifts with ornamental grasses, along borders, or in large flower containers. A long lasting cut flower, low maintenance and pest-free. Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Height 24-30". Approx. 50 seeds/pkg.

Growing Information
Planting:
Long-lived and dependable. Zones 4-8. Start seed 10-12 weeks before last frost date. Press seed onto surface of potting mix; do not cover with soil. Germinate at an optimum temperature of 18-21 degrees C. It is beneficial, although not necessary, to pre-chill seed for 2-3 weeks prior to seeding. When a manageable size, plant into a sunny garden 18 inches apart.
Growing:
Clumps may be divided after 3-4 years in spring. Blooms July to October.
