For container growing plant the bulb in spring with the neck just above soil level, the same as you would an Amaryllis. Prefers rich, well-drained, evenly moist soil in partial to full shade. Water well when in growth and, once flowers have died back, reduce watering to encourage the bulb to go dormant. Outdoors, grow in deep, fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Dear resistant Blooms Sept-Oct. Grows 3-4’ tall.
