Grown for its large, dark-coloured flavourful, smooth leaves, collard greens can be picked from the bottom of the stalk and this hybrid may continue to produce greens well into the fall. They have an excellent storage capability in the refrigerator for up to 10 days. Use these leaves as an addition to any southern cuisine and also Portuguese soup called caldo verde.
