Papaver rhoeas. A stunning annual poppy. Pandora has impresive shades of red to dark burgunday with a slight hint of silver to white on the outer petals. A fantastic colour choice for a border plant that has strong stems reaching a height of 12-25". With a little deadheading this popy will bloom June through September. Approx. 3250 seeds/pkg.
Start inside 4-6 weeks before last frost in peat pots. Cover seed lightly and provide darkness. Poppies dislike transplanting, best direct seeded once the soil warms up to 21°C. To plant, cover seed with 1⁄8” soil.
Transplant or thin plants to 10-12” apart in a full sun location. Do not over water or fertilize. Deadhead regularly. Poppies make good cut flowers if you singe the cut ends with a candle flame to stop the flow of sap. Self seeds freely.
