Purple Blazing Stars Liatris
Liatris spicata. The perfectly erect and straight spikes of Liatris add a vertical element that will compliment other more billowy plants. The unique spikes open from the top down, giving weeks of colour. Height 36-48". Bulb size: 8-10 cm in circ.

Growing Information
Upon Arrival: Plant bulbs as soon as possible, once you have received your shipment. Refer to the variety product page under the Growing Information tab for individual planting tips per bulb type. If you cannot plant the bulbs as soon as they have been shipped to you, remove the bulbs from plastic bags and put them on trays with damp peat moss or sawdust in a cool, well-ventilated place until you have a chance to plant them. Do not let the bulbs freeze. Plant outdoors once the conditions are right for your hardiness zone.
Planting: Plant the corms 1" deep and 6"-8" apart.
Growing: Plant liatris in full sun and in very well-drained soil. It will tolerate even poor soil and summer droughts.
