Kabloom Paradise Island Calibrachoa
Calibrachoa. Kabloom 'Callies' are a must have in any garden and are easy to grow with a dominant performance in their branching and trailing habit. Stunning plants with bright bell-shaped blooms and excellent disease resistance will adorn any hanging basket or container. Height 8-12", spread 10-14". Paradise Island is a mix and each pellet contains 3 seeds; 1 each of purple, yellow and deep pink. Approx. 10 pellets/pkg.
Sow a single seed on top of soil surface of seed tray or flat. Keep temperatures between 72 to 75F and use light to speed up germination. Germination usually takes place within 7 to 10 days. Keep soil moist but not too wet. Best to use a light watering can or spray bottle until seedlings get between first to second true leaf stage.
Once the seeds have sprouted, continue with light and keep temperatures at least above 70F for up to 2 weeks. Once the have two sets of true leaves you can transplant and also apply a balanced fertilizer once every week to ten days. Can be set outside in containers or gardens in full sun and well drained soil, once the risk of frost has passed. Continue to apply fertilizer every two weeks to maintain colour as well as encouraging new blooms.
